Best of British: Hall & Woodhouse

If you’re looking for a special dinner in splendid surrounds, then look no further than the Hall and Woodhouse; a striking bar and restaurant tucked away near Queen’s Square in the heart of Bath. Originally an auction house in the 1960’s, this sweeping venue is split over three floors, maximising the available space and is designed around the passions and interests of the Woodhouse family.

Whether you’re looking for an easy lunch, celebratory drinks or a family dinner, the menu is suited to any occasion, filled with traditional favourites and modern twists to tantalise taste buds. Savour a cold pint with colleagues downstairs in the Copper Bar, built from the coppers of the Hall & Woodhouse brewery in Dorset. Follow the grand staircase and you’ll discover the relaxed dining area with open kitchen, with a beautiful rood terrace the perfect place to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple in the better weather.

Honing in on the English sense of a pub being centered around the local community, the team at Hall and Woodhouse are a charitable bunch, helping to give their bit back with an annual litter pick and also donate to great causes such as the local Air Ambulance. If that wasn’t enough to entice you through the doors, this delightful dining venue was also voted a must-see by the Mail on Sunday and is the only place you’ll find the specially crafted Badger Beers brewed in the Dorset countryside.
