The cottage originally dates back to the late 1800s, one of four artisan homesteads originally built for the canal workers in the hamlet of Tucking Mill.

This enchanting lodge nestled on the edge of the Midford Valley, can be utilised for short breaks or longer stays and has been newly converted to convey the very essence of a cosy hideaway. The snug living area features a traditional wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and chairs adorned with throws to make the space all the more inviting.

Relax and unwind in the decadent Victorian roll top claw bath, before bedding down on the luxury king sized 1200 pocket sprung bed. The cottage is also decked out with all the mod cons, including flat screen television, DVD player, iPod docking station and free WiFi. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher for added convenience.

Step outside the back of the property and enjoy tranquil views over the banks of the Midford river and Horsecombe brooks from the private and picturesque, south-facing garden. You may want to make use of the BBQ provided in the outdoor dining area, whilst fly fishing can also be arranged by request. Whether you want to go sightseeing or are equally as happy to unwind in the seclusion of the surrounding countryside, you will be spoilt for choice on how to spend your time at Brookes’ View.
