Loch Fyne can be found on the corner of Milsom St and is set in a landmark Grade II listed building in the heart of Bath’s historic city. The restaurant offers a feeling of grandeur, within its light and inviting floor space. As an established name with knowledgeable staff, you can be rest assured to feel welcome as soon as you step through the door, where friendly staff and quality food await you.
The brand was established by a flamboyant laird and marine biologist who teamed up to create their first oyster farm back in 1978. Selling their produce from a mere roadside stall to fund the local estate, the business quickly spiralled from its quality reputation and the number of sites increased around the loch and further afield, with the public willing to pay for their exquisite seafood.
Today, each restaurant still serves fresh produce from the loch in Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland and offer a delicious à la carte menu, consisting of seasonal dishes that will please any taste buds. With respect to the produce and the environment it hails from, Loch Fyne our proud to honour the company’s philosophy to provide fresh, sustainably sourced, flavoursome food across their breakfast, set and à la carte menus. The golden shell mussels served today are supplied by Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd and are accompanied by an extensive wine list.
It is clear that attention to detail and quality is cohesive in all stages of the dining experience, their philosophy embodying the Gaelic saying ‘nach urramach an cuan’ i.e. how worthy of honour is the sea’. From the chefs to the serving staff, the team at Loch Fyne are clearly passionate about providing a worthy experience, with sustainability residing at the heart of this enterprising company.
