In between our city centre apartments and the cottage retreats is the town of Bathampton. The George Inn is a local favourite, sitting on the canal that runs through Bathampton. The perfect stop off for cyclists and walkers exploring the east side of the city of Bath, it’s an unpretentious pub serving good food and beers at great value.

The George Inn is also a respite from the busy life of Bath city centre, so well worth a walk out from the apartments if you want to explore a quieter side of Bath. The paved seating area and canalside grassy areas fill up quick in the summer evenings.

If you fancy a casual pub fare, the George Inn is a good bet. It’s part of the Chef and Brewer chain and describes itself as a “no nonsense pub with a family-friendly vibe”. While you can’t book a table, you can call them on 01225425079 for more information.
