A stone’s throw outside of Bath and only a 5 minute drive from Hedgemead Court is the Bathampton Mill, which sits on the Kennet & Avon canal. It’s popular with Bathampton residents and walkers who are exploring the canal path, or you can reach it by row boat as well.

Right on the river, there’s a large garden for sipping a real ale in, or you can enjoy the cosy indoors with its log fires. There’s a casual bar or your can enjoy a more formal dinner in the dining room. You can order everything from fish and chips to Mediterranean sharing platters, both of which are served all day.

The wine and beer selection is extensive, so you’ve got plenty to choose from including a select few local brews. If the weather’s nice it’s easily one of Bath’s nicest pubs to enjoy the afternoon outside.

You can book a table by calling them on 01225469758 or rock up in your row boat and enjoy a tipple.
